Flywheel Video · Utah video production
Park City, UT
video production.
Give a Park City, Utah gathering a story that remains useful after the meeting. Flywheel Video plans the coverage, films focused speaker conversations and selected sessions, and edits the ideas for later viewers, with venue conditions and participant availability guiding practical choices about what to record.

These broader portfolio projects offer references for a collection of related pieces and differentiated specialist voices, useful when a Park City meeting needs purposeful content for audiences beyond the event.

Local production planning
Distinguish the venue from city and surrounding land.
The Utah Film Commission links productions to local and land-management contacts and states that its office does not issue location permits. For Park City, identify the specific venue and any additional outdoor setting. Ask the host and responsible local contact how to review equipment, loading, and public-facing activity rather than assuming a resort or event booking covers every proposed scene.

and the filming day.
For a Park City meeting, confirm the interview room stays available while sessions, dining, and social events continue nearby. Ask about house music, loading routes, elevators, and room turnover before setting speaker appointments. An outdoor conversation should have a quieter indoor alternative and a plan for participant comfort. If the event schedule is dense, give a coordinator responsibility for arrivals and accurate names. Decide separately whether stage sessions need uninterrupted recording, because an operator conducting interviews cannot simultaneously provide complete coverage of activity elsewhere in the venue.
Planning example · illustrative brief
Speaker insight with an editorial purpose
A company wants Park City meeting speakers to explain a strategic theme to employees who are not attending. The planning example assigns each interview a different question and asks for practical examples rather than event praise. A prepared room supports consistent sound and framing. Supporting footage shows relevant interaction, with the capture scope identifying any session that needs a separate camera or audio feed. The editor receives the agenda, speaker names, topic notes, and the intended internal audience. The finished clips can communicate useful ideas after the gathering without pretending to be a full archive of every session or participant.

Provisional planning guidance
Scope the meeting's competing coverage needs before adding scenery.
A Park City event budget should separate interviews, uninterrupted sessions and supporting venue activity. Quiet-room availability, house music, elevators, loading and turnover affect the usable schedule. Give outdoor conversation an indoor alternative and identify any separate location contact, then list presentation assets, captions and editorial outputs rather than treating all event filming as one interchangeable allocation.

Assumptions and costs to confirm
Planning assumptions
- Starter USD planning allowances are working benchmarks, not a universal industry rate card or a final quote. Flywheel confirms the scope, crew, schedule and commercial terms.
- Creative planning assumes discovery, a story outline, interview themes and basic production preparation.
- Each production day assumes up to eight hours with a two-person interview or corporate production crew and a standard camera, basic lighting and sound package. Specialist equipment, extra crew and overtime need separate review.
- Routine location coordination and ordinary interview preparation are included in the planning and filming allowances; those calculator rows add no separate charge. Location changes can still increase filming time.
- Editing combines a base allowance for each distinct main film plus an allowance for the total finished minutes. The base alone is not the complete editing price.
- An additional version means reframing or a straightforward shorter cut from the approved main film. New concepts, languages, major restructuring or extensive graphics need separate review.
- Editing assumes two consolidated rounds of client feedback. Final review rounds, media handoff, source files, storage and licensing must be defined in the agreed scope.
- All visitor quantities are working assumptions. Unknown scope, complex requirements or specialist review terms can prevent an automatic numerical estimate.
Exclusions unless agreed in scope
- Travel and accommodation unless expressly included.
- Location fees, permits, talent and usage rights unless expressly included.
- Stock, music, third-party licenses and taxes unless expressly included.
- Specialist equipment, additional languages, animation, visual effects, broadcast and unusual access requirements unless expressly included.
- Additional filming, changed creative direction and new deliverables outside the confirmed scope.

Questions, answered
Plan your Park City
production.
Resolve the location, capture and delivery questions before the filming day.
What should a Park City venue confirm before speaker interviews are scheduled?
Reserve a room that stays available during sessions, dining and social activity. Ask about house music, elevators, loading routes and room turnover, then complete setup before participant appointments. A coordinator should manage arrivals and accurate names so the camera team can concentrate on recording rather than finding speakers.
Does a Park City resort booking include every proposed outdoor filming area?
Identify the specific outdoor setting, equipment footprint and responsible host or local contact. Utah's film resources help route those questions rather than issuing location permission themselves. An event booking does not establish arrangements for all surrounding spaces, so scope the exterior separately and prepare an indoor conversation alternative.
Can the interview operator also provide complete stage recordings?
Not when the interview and stage session happen simultaneously in different places. Mark uninterrupted recordings on the agenda and identify their audio and camera requirements. A Park City estimate can then allocate coverage appropriately instead of promising complete event documentation from an operator committed to a separate conversation.
How do we turn a dense meeting schedule into useful short films?
Choose a defined question for each speaker and identify which planned moments support those answers. Supply the agenda, names and approved presentation assets. The Park City brief should distinguish individual pieces, a broader story and complete recordings, allowing each deliverable's editing and review needs to be priced explicitly.
