Flywheel Video · Kansas video production

Wichita, KS
video production.

Bring a Wichita, Kansas, technical specialist or customer into a company film that explains the work clearly. Flywheel Video develops the questions, films approved application footage and edits the story around practical demonstrations and the details the intended audience needs to understand.

Local production planning

Keep facility entry separate from regional location support.

Kansas Commerce’s filming resource provides liaison support and distinguishes city and county filming questions from state assistance. For Wichita, identify who manages each property and any additional public-space footprint. An engineering office, controlled hangar, workshop, and exterior should have individual access inquiries. A state reference does not establish facility entry or permission to record every object and activity visible inside.

Access, sound,
and the filming day.

At an aviation, manufacturing, or engineering workplace, ask about visitor checks, equipment inspection, escorts, protective clothing, and restricted material. An active hangar or workshop may be unsuitable for clean dialogue, so reserve a quieter interview room and schedule process coverage separately. Identify the operator and preparation needed for a demonstration, and whether it can safely be repeated. If exterior footage is important, assess wind, activity, and the forecast with the property contact instead of assuming a large open area is a controllable filming space.

Planning example · illustrative brief

A technical application explained without losing the audience

A manufacturer wants a Wichita expert and customer to discuss a specific application. The hypothetical brief organizes questions around the task, the choices made, and the details a viewer needs to understand. The host prepares an approved demonstration and identifies what cannot appear in frame. Camera coverage follows the explanation rather than simply collecting equipment shots. Technical notes identify the component and activity for the editor. Any performance claims are supplied for client review, while the interview remains the speaker’s own account rather than a scripted assertion presented as independent experience.

From local capture
to final delivery.

We develop the Wichita application film from the technical explanation and approved demonstration, choosing coverage that makes each step legible. Share facility contacts, speaker windows and a glossary of unfamiliar terms. We plan filming, graphics and editing together, with client review of factual claims. Delivery versions and contributions from other sites follow the same defined story rather than generic equipment imagery.

Provisional planning guidance

Build the allowance around approved technical activity.

A hangar or engineering workplace can require equipment checks, escorts and demonstration preparation before usable footage exists. Keep dialogue and process coverage as separate setups. For Wichita estimates, specify restricted material, the operator’s availability and technical review; exterior context should not consume the only window for an essential application sequence.

Interview filming

$2,500–$4,500USD planning range

One filming day at one location, with two interviews. Your team supplies the creative direction and handles the edit.

One finished interview film

$5,250–$9,500USD planning range

Creative planning, one filming day, two interviews and one two-minute film. No additional format versions.

A connected film series

$11,750–$21,500USD planning range

Creative planning, two filming days, four interviews, three main films totaling five minutes, plus two straightforward format versions.

Illustrative scopes based on Flywheel’s current estimating guidance. These are provisional planning ranges, not fixed packages, a booking or a final quote. Actual locations, hours, crew, rights and delivery requirements need Flywheel confirmation.

Assumptions and costs to confirm

Planning assumptions

  • Starter USD planning allowances are working benchmarks, not a universal industry rate card or a final quote. Flywheel confirms the scope, crew, schedule and commercial terms.
  • Creative planning assumes discovery, a story outline, interview themes and basic production preparation.
  • Each production day assumes up to eight hours with a two-person interview or corporate production crew and a standard camera, basic lighting and sound package. Specialist equipment, extra crew and overtime need separate review.
  • Routine location coordination and ordinary interview preparation are included in the planning and filming allowances; those calculator rows add no separate charge. Location changes can still increase filming time.
  • Editing combines a base allowance for each distinct main film plus an allowance for the total finished minutes. The base alone is not the complete editing price.
  • An additional version means reframing or a straightforward shorter cut from the approved main film. New concepts, languages, major restructuring or extensive graphics need separate review.
  • Editing assumes two consolidated rounds of client feedback. Final review rounds, media handoff, source files, storage and licensing must be defined in the agreed scope.
  • All visitor quantities are working assumptions. Unknown scope, complex requirements or specialist review terms can prevent an automatic numerical estimate.

Exclusions unless agreed in scope

  • Travel and accommodation unless expressly included.
  • Location fees, permits, talent and usage rights unless expressly included.
  • Stock, music, third-party licenses and taxes unless expressly included.
  • Specialist equipment, additional languages, animation, visual effects, broadcast and unusual access requirements unless expressly included.
  • Additional filming, changed creative direction and new deliverables outside the confirmed scope.

What should a hangar or engineering host approve first?

Ask about visitor checks, equipment inspection, escorts and restricted information before finalizing the camera plan. Identify safe filming positions and any required protective clothing. Have the host prepare the approved demonstration so the crew is not deciding what can appear while operations are underway.

Can we use an open hangar for the main interview?

Assess actual activity and sound before choosing it. An impressive space may carry machinery, wind or interruptions that complicate dialogue. Keep a quieter interview room available, then capture approved hangar or workshop images separately to explain the work without compromising the conversation.

How do technical claims affect the editorial budget?

Identify the person who supplies and reviews factual statements, diagrams and approved performance figures. Include that review in the scope and schedule. The edit should distinguish an illustrative demonstration from measured evidence, rather than asking the production team to infer results from equipment footage.

What if our demonstration cannot be repeated?

Tell the production team before coverage is designed. Identify the indispensable stages, operator and available observation positions. The filming plan can then prioritize the required views during the real activity, with the interview supplying context instead of assuming every step can be reset.
