Flywheel Video · Missouri video production

Kansas City, MO
video production.

Give a Kansas City, Missouri, company film a coherent story across its people and locations. Flywheel Video develops the creative approach, films interviews and meaningful activity, and edits the contributions together, with the actual addresses and states kept clear throughout the production plan.

Local production planning

Put the state on every address in the shoot matrix.

The Missouri Film Office offers production services, location assistance and permit-resource links. For a Kansas City itinerary, record whether each address is in Missouri or Kansas and identify its property contact. A statewide Missouri resource is a planning starting point, not confirmation for another state or every property within the larger metropolitan area.

Access, sound,
and the filming day.

For a Kansas City project with several sites, give each stop its own setup, access and interview plan. A leadership conversation in one office and operational footage at another may need different crew or equipment choices. Keep state boundaries, travel and unloading visible on the schedule rather than grouping all stops under a city label. Share the camera, sound and framing requirements across the brief, then document any location-specific exception that your editor needs to know about afterward.

Planning example · illustrative brief

Hypothetical brief: company stories across distinct locations

A communications team needs Kansas City interviews with office staff and a customer elsewhere in the metropolitan area. The planning example starts by confirming the state and property contact for each address. A shared question guide connects the stories, while each subject has an individual filming window and list of useful supporting activities. The producer compares one traveling setup with separate local sessions around those windows. The editor receives consistent media information and location notes, without treating the different sites as interchangeable backgrounds.

From local capture
to final delivery.

We develop the Kansas City film around the perspectives each subject and setting contributes. Include complete addresses with state names, interview windows and approved activities. We can plan the common treatment, film the conversations and edit the finished story, using location notes and visual references to preserve context. Each site’s practical needs receive their own place in the schedule.

Provisional planning guidance

Keep both states and every setup visible in the price.

A metropolitan company film can involve leadership interviews, operational footage and sites with different access rules. Record Missouri and Kansas addresses separately when estimating Kansas City production. A shared visual treatment does not eliminate travel, unloading or fresh setup; identify the distinct editorial contribution from each stop before adding it to the schedule.

Illustrative scopes based on Flywheel’s current estimating guidance. These are provisional planning ranges, not fixed packages, a booking or a final quote. Actual locations, hours, crew, rights and delivery requirements need Flywheel confirmation.

Assumptions and costs to confirm

Planning assumptions

  • Starter USD planning allowances are working benchmarks, not a universal industry rate card or a final quote. Flywheel confirms the scope, crew, schedule and commercial terms.
  • Creative planning assumes discovery, a story outline, interview themes and basic production preparation.
  • Each production day assumes up to eight hours with a two-person interview or corporate production crew and a standard camera, basic lighting and sound package. Specialist equipment, extra crew and overtime need separate review.
  • Routine location coordination and ordinary interview preparation are included in the planning and filming allowances; those calculator rows add no separate charge. Location changes can still increase filming time.
  • Editing combines a base allowance for each distinct main film plus an allowance for the total finished minutes. The base alone is not the complete editing price.
  • An additional version means reframing or a straightforward shorter cut from the approved main film. New concepts, languages, major restructuring or extensive graphics need separate review.
  • Editing assumes two consolidated rounds of client feedback. Final review rounds, media handoff, source files, storage and licensing must be defined in the agreed scope.
  • All visitor quantities are working assumptions. Unknown scope, complex requirements or specialist review terms can prevent an automatic numerical estimate.

Exclusions unless agreed in scope

  • Travel and accommodation unless expressly included.
  • Location fees, permits, talent and usage rights unless expressly included.
  • Stock, music, third-party licenses and taxes unless expressly included.
  • Specialist equipment, additional languages, animation, visual effects, broadcast and unusual access requirements unless expressly included.
  • Additional filming, changed creative direction and new deliverables outside the confirmed scope.

Should Missouri and Kansas addresses share one location entry?

Keep the complete address and state for every stop, along with its property contact and equipment footprint. Missouri’s film resources are a planning starting point, not confirmation for Kansas property. A metropolitan label should not obscure which contact is responsible for access at each actual location.

How do we maintain a shared look across different facilities?

Agree framing, sound and lighting priorities before filming and request useful information about each room. Allow practical adjustments for different dimensions and activity. Document exceptions in the footage notes so the editor understands how each contribution relates to the treatment instead of expecting identical backgrounds everywhere.

Can interviews and operational footage need different crew plans?

Yes. A quiet leadership conversation and activity at a working site can have different sound, access and camera requirements. Describe both tasks and any overlap in timing. The estimate should connect staffing and equipment to those needs rather than allocating the same setup to every stop by default.

What helps combine several locations into one coherent company film?

Define the central message and the purpose of each contributor or scene before scheduling. Label addresses, roles and operational activities in the media handoff. Agree individual and combined edits, graphics and review ownership so the locations contribute distinct information rather than repeating a generic company introduction.
