For a Fort Collins customer film, these examples help separate a person’s account from the visual explanation supporting it. Consider both the interview responsibilities and the planned product sequence.

Local production planning
Let the working process shape the filming window.
Colorado’s state film office provides location and regional liaison resources that can help identify a starting contact. For a Fort Collins business or campus, confirm the actual property manager and any additional public footprint directly. A private interview room, active production space, and separate outdoor setting should be listed independently; a state referral is not confirmation that all three are available.

For a maker, food-production, or research workplace, ask which processes happen on a fixed timetable and which can be demonstrated separately. Machinery, refrigeration, or ventilation may make the work floor unsuitable for dialogue, so reserve a quiet interview room. Keep equipment clear of staff routes and identify an area for clean product details. If an exterior sequence is needed, check loading, daylight, and current conditions without allowing it to displace a time-sensitive process that cannot simply be repeated.
Planning example · illustrative brief
A founder account supported by the actual product process
A Fort Collins business wants a customer film showing why its product fits a particular need. The hypothetical plan records the customer’s experience in a quiet room, then follows a concise approved process sequence with the maker. The team distinguishes a real production step from a prepared demonstration and labels the footage accordingly. Questions invite specific examples without scripting claims for the customer. Product details are captured for readability, so a viewer can understand the account without relying on a long explanation over generic workplace images.
From local capture
to final delivery.
We shape the Fort Collins customer film from the experience, the process and the details that make both credible. Share customer availability, process timing and claims that require review. We plan individual films, compilations and shorter excerpts before production, then film and edit toward those uses. Each customer’s account retains its own emphasis within the agreed visual treatment.

Provisional planning guidance
Put the maker’s timetable into the planning range.
A customer story with a real product process needs the maker’s activity window, clean detail area and a quiet room away from machinery or refrigeration. Include fixed steps and prepared demonstrations distinctly. Name the finished film, versions and review so the provisional estimate follows the actual workflow rather than assuming every process can repeat.
Interview filming
$2,500–$4,500USD planning range
One filming day at one location, with two interviews. Your team supplies the creative direction and handles the edit.
One finished interview film
$5,250–$9,500USD planning range
Creative planning, one filming day, two interviews and one two-minute film. No additional format versions.
A connected film series
$11,750–$21,500USD planning range
Creative planning, two filming days, four interviews, three main films totaling five minutes, plus two straightforward format versions.
Illustrative scopes based on Flywheel’s current estimating guidance. These are provisional planning ranges, not fixed packages, a booking or a final quote. Actual locations, hours, crew, rights and delivery requirements need Flywheel confirmation.
Assumptions and costs to confirm
Planning assumptions
- Starter USD planning allowances are working benchmarks, not a universal industry rate card or a final quote. Flywheel confirms the scope, crew, schedule and commercial terms.
- Creative planning assumes discovery, a story outline, interview themes and basic production preparation.
- Each production day assumes up to eight hours with a two-person interview or corporate production crew and a standard camera, basic lighting and sound package. Specialist equipment, extra crew and overtime need separate review.
- Routine location coordination and ordinary interview preparation are included in the planning and filming allowances; those calculator rows add no separate charge. Location changes can still increase filming time.
- Editing combines a base allowance for each distinct main film plus an allowance for the total finished minutes. The base alone is not the complete editing price.
- An additional version means reframing or a straightforward shorter cut from the approved main film. New concepts, languages, major restructuring or extensive graphics need separate review.
- Editing assumes two consolidated rounds of client feedback. Final review rounds, media handoff, source files, storage and licensing must be defined in the agreed scope.
- All visitor quantities are working assumptions. Unknown scope, complex requirements or specialist review terms can prevent an automatic numerical estimate.
Exclusions unless agreed in scope
- Travel and accommodation unless expressly included.
- Location fees, permits, talent and usage rights unless expressly included.
- Stock, music, third-party licenses and taxes unless expressly included.
- Specialist equipment, additional languages, animation, visual effects, broadcast and unusual access requirements unless expressly included.
- Additional filming, changed creative direction and new deliverables outside the confirmed scope.

Colorado Office of Film, Television and Media — production resources ↗
How should Fort Collins property and outdoor questions be separated?
Use Colorado’s location and liaison resources to find a starting contact, then confirm each property manager directly. Identify the interview room, production area and additional outdoor footprint separately. A state referral does not establish whether all those spaces are available for the specific activity and equipment proposed.
How can we film a process on a fixed timetable?
Have the maker identify when it happens, which steps can repeat and what can be demonstrated separately. Reserve safe camera positions and keep equipment clear of staff routes. Protect the time-sensitive sequence rather than allowing optional exterior context to displace an operational moment the crew cannot recover later.
What is different about a demonstration and real production footage?
Both may help explain the film, but their context should remain clear. Agree which activity is observed and which is prepared for camera, then label it in notes. Ask the host to explain the steps so the edit does not present a convenient sample sequence as a different production event.
How should machinery and product details affect the estimate?
Separate dialogue from refrigeration, machinery or ventilation sound, and identify a clean area for close views. Describe the product process and finished-story versions before booking. Preparation, resets, editing and review can change the workload even when the customer interview itself needs only one controlled setup.
