Camera Crew Services

Your creative brief.
Considered production.

Camera, lighting and sound for your production. Bring your treatment and filming requirements, and we’ll plan the setup around the work you need to capture.

Bring the plan.
Build the right setup.

You may already have a treatment, producer and editor. Tell us what you need captured and which responsibilities your team will retain. We can plan filming around your existing creative and editorial workflow.

The crew plan should follow the work: interview capture, supporting location footage, branded content or event coverage. The camera package is one decision alongside sound, lighting, location access and available time.

Define your scope

  • Camera operators and directors of photography
  • Lighting and location sound requirements
  • Camera, lighting and sound planning
  • Production from your treatment and shot list
  • Media and notes for your editorial handoff

Plan the details

Make the handoff
part of the brief.

Share the frame rate, resolution, recording format and color workflow your editors need. Include camera or lens preferences where they serve a defined purpose.

Identify the on-set decision maker, who will lead interviews and where the footage should go. For a series, attach the same technical and visual brief to each location plan.

Experience behind
the conversation.

Flywheel Film’s production approach describes interviewing, lighting, sound recording, set dressing and multi-camera capture. Your quote defines the particular setup for your shoot.

Make the filming handoff specific.

If your creative direction and edit are already established, share the treatment, shot priorities and editorial requirements together. Identify what the camera team needs to capture and which production decisions still need attention.

  • Name the director, interviewer and on-set decision maker.
  • Describe the lighting approach, sound needs and location conditions.
  • Confirm recording format, frame rate and color-workflow requirements.
  • Define media organization, audio delivery and production notes.

List camera originals, separate audio, proxies, transcripts or project files only where you need them, then ask which are included. Agree the delivery method and responsibility for maintaining copies rather than assuming the editorial handoff is self-explanatory.

Flywheel Film’s Blueprint Medicines work provides a documented filming-collaboration example with Edit 1. If the brief also needs creative development or editing, explore production-partner support.

Questions to settle before production

Is a director included with camera support?

Ask the proposal to identify the roles included. Decide who directs the shoot, leads interviews and makes creative decisions so those responsibilities are explicit.

What should our editor provide before filming?

Share required formats, frame rate, color workflow, audio needs and the planned media handoff. Include a visual reference if the footage must match existing material.

Can we add planning or editing support?

Yes. Identify the decisions and deliverables you want Flywheel to own, then include that work in the agreed production scope.
